SC/ST CELL

Welcome to SC/ST CELL

Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) have been identified as the two most backward groups of Indian society. They include all the castes, races or tribes, which have been socially, economically, and educationally backward. The cell has been established to support and bring students from these communities into the mainstream.

The SC/ST Cell of the college was established with the purpose of empowering SC/ST students. The college takes a special interest in facilitating financial support to these students from government agencies and other sources. They are also encouraged to enroll in career orientation programs that equip them with the necessary skills to choose a suitable career.

Objectives

  • 1. To counsel and guide SC/ST students for academic and personal development.
  • 2. To ensure a safe and secure environment for all SC/ST students.
  • 3. To provide prompt counseling during emotional emergencies.
  • 4. To redress grievances of SC/ST students through proper mechanisms.
  • 5. To ensure constitutional protections and reservations.
  • 6. To arrange special opportunities to promote career growth.
  • 7. To spread awareness about government and UGC scholarships.
  • 8. To implement follow-up measures as prescribed by UGC and Govt. of India.
