ABOUT EEE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has firm commitment to develop and produce Electrical Engineers of high technical knowledge combined with leadership skills and decision-making, design capabilities and problem solving skills. The department has well–equipped laboratories to cover all the experiments prescribed in Anna University/A.I.C.T.E. Curriculum and to support all research activities.

The EEE department is playing its role in producing skilled Electrical Engineers. The Department posses a team of eminent and experienced faculty including Professors at doctorate level and Asst.Profs. All the students are encouraged and guided by faculty to carry out more than curriculum based experiments, certain innovative research oriented projects.All the laboratories are fully equipped with latest sophisticated machines and equipments.

FEATURES

Some of the major equipments which are available in various laboratories are different types of DC Machines, AC Machines, Transformers, Bridges, Choppers, Invertors, CROs, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Resistors, Inductors and Capacitors boxes etc., besides 30 numbers of Pentium IV systems for Power System Simulation Laboratory.The department student association GUSTO is conducting various seminars and workshops in order to improve the skill set of the students..

LABORATORIES

ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS LABORATORY

This Lab consists of all types of measuring instruments and cathode ray oscilloscope, audio oscillators, function generators and various types of decade boxes.

Software such as MATLAB, EMTP are taught to the students in this lab to enable them to design, analyze & simulate and even compare with industry..

ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY

Facilitates the study of all electrical machines including special machines. Has the facility to calibrate different types of instruments.

MEASUREMENTS AND CONTROLS LAB
